Get the 30-day exploit chance for one security flaw
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
Tells you how likely one security flaw is to be exploited in the next 30 days, from a public score.
Returns the EPSS (Exploit Prediction Scoring System) score for one CVE, a public ID for a security flaw, from FIRST's public API. The score is the estimated chance from 0 to 1 that the flaw is exploited in the next 30 days, with its percentile among all scored CVEs and the date it was scored. EPSS predicts exploitation; it does not show that an exploit exists, and the source points to a separate list for known exploits. Use it to rank flaws by predicted risk.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know how likely a security flaw is to be used by attackers soon
For example: Give one CVE ID and read the 30-day probability, a number from 0 to 1.
When: I need to rank several security flaws by risk
For example: Ask for each flaw and compare their percentiles among all scored CVEs.
When: I need to know when a flaw's score was calculated
For example: Read the scoring date in the answer before you act on the number.
