Check whether two DNS resolvers agree on a record
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
Tells you whether two public DNS lookup services give the same answer for a name right now.
Asks two public DNS resolvers, AdGuard DNS and NextDNS, for the same name and record type right now. It reports whether they agree, plus each answer set and its lowest TTL (how long an answer may be cached). It shows cache and location-based differences between the two. The source says it is two vantage points, not a worldwide propagation survey.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to check that two public lookup services give my domain the same answer
For example: Check the same name and record type on AdGuard DNS and NextDNS.
When: I need to see how long a DNS answer may be cached
For example: Read the lowest TTL each resolver reports for a name.
When: I need to see if answers differ by location between resolvers
For example: Compare the two answer sets when a name returns different results.
