Explain a transaction before you sign it
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
I need to know what a blockchain transaction will do before I sign it.
Decodes EVM calldata, the data a transaction sends to a smart contract on an Ethereum-style chain, before you sign it. It returns candidate function signatures from the openchain signature database, the decoded arguments, and plain-English warnings for approve, setApprovalForAll, permit and unlimited amounts. Use it when an agent must check what it is about to approve or sign.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know what a transaction will do before I sign it
For example: Send the call data as the data value of a GET request and read the decoded call.
When: I need a warning before I grant an unlimited approval
For example: Read the plain-English warning for approve, setApprovalForAll, permit or an unlimited amount.
When: I need the function names a contract call could be using
For example: Read the candidate function signatures and the decoded arguments for the call data.
