Tells you how risky an email address or domain looks, before you trust it.
Takes an email address or a domain and returns one risk level: low, medium or high. It gives plain-language flags and the facts behind them: domain age, registrar, expiry, MX, SPF, DMARC and the live TLS certificate. For an email it also checks syntax, disposable-provider and role-address. It judges the domain only: it does not check that a mailbox exists or check DKIM.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know if an email address is risky before I reply
For example: Check a sender's address and get a low, medium or high risk level before opening a link.
When: I need to check whether an email address is disposable or a role address
For example: Flag a sign-up address from a throwaway email provider before I accept it.
When: I need to judge a domain's age and registrar before I trust it
For example: Look up a supplier's domain to see when it was registered and when it expires.
When: I need to see a domain's mail and TLS setup
For example: Read the MX, SPF and DMARC settings and the live TLS certificate for a company domain.
