Check if a CVE is on CISA's exploited list
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
Tells you whether a security flaw (a CVE) is on CISA's list of known exploited vulnerabilities.
Reads CISA's public Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Give a CVE ID to see if it is listed, with its vendor, product, date added, federal due date, required action and a ransomware-use flag. Without an ID, you get the catalog size, its release date and up to 50 of the newest additions. Being on the list means exploitation was reported, not that the flaw has a risk score.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know if exploitation of a CVE has been reported
For example: Give the CVE ID and check whether it is on CISA's list and when it was added.
When: I need the federal due date and required action for a listed flaw
For example: Read the due date and required action for a CVE that is on the list.
When: I need the newest additions to CISA's exploited list
For example: Ask without an ID and get up to 50 of the latest additions with the catalog's release date.
