Searches MSHA mine citations and orders by operator, mine, or standard cited.
It searches MSHA's Violations data set, covering citations and orders at coal and metal/nonmetal mines. You can filter by cited company, mine ID, state, 30 CFR standard, Mine Act section, citation or order type, health or safety area, negligence, likelihood, significant-and-substantial flag, contested status, year, or issue date. It returns the entity-resolved violator, mine, standard cited, penalty, and dates, exactly as cited.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know which mine operators have MSHA citations or orders
For example: Search by cited company or mine ID to see their citation history.
When: I need violations tied to a specific safety standard
For example: Filter by the cited 30 CFR standard or Mine Act section.
