Tells you where the federal government has designated a health-professional shortage.
Searches HRSA's Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) designations by state, county, discipline (primary care, dental health, or mental health), designation type, status, a minimum HPSA score from 0 to 26 (higher means worse), population type, rural-only, or a designated-since date. It returns the designation, score, geography, provider-to-population ratio, and shortage full-time-equivalent need. It is built for clinician-staffing, telehealth, and workforce vendors.
