Tells you which cloud or hosting provider is running behind an IP address or hostname.
Detects the cloud or hosting provider behind an IP address or hostname, from the announcing ASN: AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, OVH, Akamai/Linode, Fastly, Oracle, Alibaba, Vultr, Fly.io, Render, and others. It also returns a flag for whether the address sits behind a CDN. It answers the question of where a service is actually hosted.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know which cloud provider hosts a given IP or hostname
For example: Send the IP or hostname to get back the detected provider, such as AWS or Cloudflare.
When: I need to know if a site sits behind a CDN
For example: Check the CDN flag returned alongside the provider result.
When: I am investigating where a service is actually hosted
For example: Look up its IP to see the announcing ASN's provider instead of guessing.
