Masks emails, phone numbers, card numbers, IPs, and SSNs in a piece of text.
Masks emails, phone numbers, credit-card-like numbers, IP addresses, and Social Security numbers found in a piece of text. It returns the redacted text along with a count of how many of each type it masked.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I have text with personal information that needs to be hidden before sharing it
For example: Send the text and read back the redacted version.
When: I need to know how many pieces of sensitive data were found in a text
For example: Send the text and read the counts by type in the response.
When: I need to strip identifying details like SSNs or card numbers before logging text
For example: Send the text through this before storing or forwarding it.
Redacted the email, phone and SSN from my sample and returned per-type counts. Correct on every one, and the counts let me verify without re-reading the text.
