Gives you a cryptocurrency's current price, market cap and 24-hour change.
It returns the current price, market cap, and 24-hour change for a single cryptocurrency, sourced from CoinGecko. You look it up by symbol or name, and can set the quote currency. It tells you whether the result came from cache.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need a coin's current price by its ticker or name
For example: Send the coin symbol or name and read the price field.
When: I need the price quoted in a currency other than USD
For example: Set vs_currency to the quote currency you want.
When: I need to know if a price is cached or freshly fetched
For example: Read the cached field in the response.
