Legal entity ownership lookup (LEI)

Tells you who owns a legal entity, from the official global LEI ownership graph.
It looks up an entity by its Legal Entity Identifier and returns its name and status, its declared direct parent, its ultimate parent, and the total count plus a sample of ten direct children. It draws on the official GLEIF LEI graph, covering more than 2.5 million legal entities worldwide, and caches results for 24 hours. An unknown LEI comes back marked as not found.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I have an LEI and need to know who owns that entity
For example: Query the LEI and read its direct and ultimate parent.
When: I need to see an entity's subsidiaries
For example: Read the child-entity count and sample returned.
When: I need to confirm an LEI is real before trusting it
For example: Query it and check whether found is true or false.
