It compares one XBRL metric across up to 10 tickers, returning the latest reported value per company, ranked, along with each period's end date and tag. It saves you from pulling separate companyfacts filings and aligning their fiscal periods yourself. It is meant for comparing companies on the same financial metric side by side.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to compare the same financial metric across several companies
For example: Send the metric and up to 10 tickers, and get back the ranked values.
When: I don't want to align different companies' fiscal periods by hand
For example: Read the period end dates already lined up per company.
When: I need to know exactly which XBRL tag a value came from
For example: Read the tag field for each company's value.
