Gives you the current Base base fee and priority fee at chain head.
It returns the Base network's gas price, base fee, and priority fee, read at the current chain head. This is not an estimate for any specific call, and an unread RPC does not mean the value is zero.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need the current Base gas price without running my own node
For example: Call it and read the base fee and priority fee fields.
When: I need to know these are live head values, not an estimate
For example: Treat the numbers as current chain state, not a prediction for your specific call.
