Split an IPv4 block into subnets
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
Divides an IPv4 CIDR block into equal, smaller subnets for you.
Divides an IPv4 CIDR block into equal subnets of a smaller prefix, such as splitting a /22 into /24s. It lists up to 256 of the resulting networks along with their counts. It is meant for VPC and VLAN planning.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I have a CIDR block and need it split into smaller subnets
For example: Send the block and the target prefix and read the resulting networks.
When: I need to plan VLANs from one larger address block
For example: Split the block and assign each resulting subnet to a VLAN.
When: I need to know how many subnets a split would produce
For example: Send the block and prefix and read the count of resulting networks.
