It queries the stock and OTC ticker symbols Massive supports. Each result carries the ticker, company name, primary exchange, security type, CIK and OpenFIGI identifiers, and whether the asset still trades.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I have a ticker and need to confirm what company and exchange it belongs to
For example: Query the ticker and read the company name and exchange.
When: I need a ticker's CIK or OpenFIGI identifier to cross-reference other data
For example: Read the CIK and OpenFIGI fields for the ticker.
When: I need to check whether a security is still actively trading
For example: Read the still-trades field for the ticker.
