Random bytes with signed attestation
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
Gives you random bytes with a signed attestation and an entropy-health report you can verify.
It returns random bytes, from 1 to 1024 per draw, along with a signed digest attestation and an entropy-health report. It states its trust model plainly in every response: today the entropy source is a software random-number generator and the signature comes from a software key, not a hardware or quantum device, and those fields would change truthfully if that changed. A free trial endpoint with the same response shape lets you check the source before paying.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need random bytes of a specific length
For example: Request between 1 and 1024 bytes.
When: I need to verify a random draw was not tampered with
For example: Check the signed digest attestation against the returned randomness.
When: I need to know whether a random source is genuinely hardware or quantum, not just claimed
For example: Read the source fields, which state today's software-based trust model honestly.
When: I need to try the response shape before paying
For example: Call the free trial endpoint first, which returns the same shape.
