It returns a live Base chain snapshot: the latest block number, the base fee and priority fee in Gwei, the current ETH price, and the estimated USD cost of a simple ETH transfer. It is meant for agents timing or budgeting their own transactions.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know the current cost of a simple ETH transfer on Base
For example: Call it and read simpleTransferCostUsd.
When: I need current gas fees to time a transaction
For example: Read the baseFeeGwei and maxPriorityFeeGwei fields.
