Gives you a New York City tax lot's deed and mortgage history from city records.
Returns the deed and mortgage history for a New York City tax lot, keyed by its BBL, drawn from the ACRIS legals dataset. Each row carries a documentId you can use to look up full details in the ACRIS master dataset, such as the parties, the consideration amount, and the document type like a deed, mortgage, or assignment of mortgage. Records come back most recent first. If you only have an address, use the parcel-lookup tool first to get the BBL.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I have a property's BBL and need its deed and mortgage history
For example: Send the BBL and read the returned records, newest first.
When: I need the parties and amount behind a specific document
For example: Take the documentId from a row and look it up in the ACRIS master dataset for full details.
When: I need to know what kind of document was recorded, such as a deed or mortgage assignment
For example: Read the document type field for each row returned.
When: I only have a street address, not a BBL
For example: Look up the BBL for that address first, then send it here to get the history.
