Gives you live gas price tiers for an EVM chain, ready to drop into a transaction.
It returns live gas price tiers, slow, standard, and fast, for an EVM chain you choose from seventeen supported chains, including Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, BNB Chain, and Avalanche. Each tier gives maxFeePerGas and maxPriorityFeePerGas in wei, ready to use directly in a transaction with no conversion needed. The response also includes the current base fee, the latest block number, and how full that block is.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need current gas prices for an EVM chain before sending a transaction
For example: Pick a chain and read back the slow, standard, and fast fee tiers.
When: I need fee values I can drop straight into a transaction
For example: Use the maxFeePerGas and maxPriorityFeePerGas fields directly, already in wei.
When: I need gas prices for more than one chain
For example: Pass the chain parameter to switch which of the seventeen supported chains you query.
When: I need to know how congested the chain is right now
For example: Read the base fee and block fullness fields in the response.
