Tells you which distilleries, wineries, or alcohol wholesalers hold a federal permit.
Searches the TTB List of Permittees for distilleries, wineries, alcohol importers, and wholesalers holding a federal basic permit. It can be searched by owner, operating or DBA name, permit number, permit type, industry, state, city, county, zip, entity ID, or new-permit-only. It returns the permittee, operating name, address, industry type, and entity-resolved owner; it excludes brewers and tobacco. These are TTB public-domain records.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know which alcohol businesses hold a federal permit in a market
For example: Search by state or city to get the matching permittees.
When: I need to find newly permitted alcohol businesses
For example: Set new-permit-only to see recent new-business triggers.
When: I need a specific permittee's address and industry type
For example: Search by owner or operating name to get its full record.
When: I need to resolve a permittee to its underlying legal entity
For example: Use the entity-resolved owner field returned with the record.
