Checks an endpoint's price and recipient before your agent pays, and returns a signed, verifiable record.
It checks the endpoint, price, and recipient of an x402 or MPP offer before your agent pays it, and returns a signed record that can be verified offline. It only charges when a qualifying live offer is found, a miss costs nothing, and the seller is paid separately, outside this check, with your agent keeping its own wallet. Evidence of the check is written to a public trust log. A route-binding option adds a signed receipt for comparing the offer before you sign it.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to confirm an x402 offer's price and recipient are what they claim before paying
For example: Call it on the offer's endpoint and read the signed verification record.
When: I want proof I checked an offer, that I can verify later without calling back
For example: Keep the signed record, since it verifies offline.
When: I don't want to pay when no qualifying offer exists
For example: Rely on the miss-is-free behavior when no live offer is found.
When: I need to compare an offer before signing a payment for it
For example: Set require_route_binding=true to get a signed receipt for that comparison.
