Gives you a US stock's latest completed trading session, delayed, not real-time.
It returns the most recent completed trading session for a US-listed ticker: open, high, low, close, volume, VWAP, and trade count, plus the change and percent change against the prior session. It also returns company reference data, such as name, exchange, and market cap. This tier serves end-of-day or delayed data, flagged in the response, so it suits daily snapshots and post-close analysis rather than real-time trading.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need a stock's most recent completed session, not live trading data
For example: Pass the ticker and read the session's open, high, low, close, and volume.
When: I need to know how a stock moved versus its prior session
For example: Read the change and percent change fields.
When: I need basic company reference data alongside the quote
For example: Read the company name, exchange, and market cap fields.
