Maximum safe loan-to-value calculator
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
Gives you the maximum safe loan-to-value ratio for a collateralized agent loan, with the reason why.
It computes the maximum safe loan-to-value ratio for a collateralized agent loan, for an asset, a loan duration, and a lender-set maximum default probability. The result includes both the math-based cap and a market-regime cap, and tells you which one is actually binding. It uses the same calibrator as the Agent-SOFR rate endpoint.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know how much I can lend against collateral safely
For example: Pass the asset, duration, and max default probability, and read max_ltv.
When: I need to know why the cap is what it is
For example: Read the binding_constraint field to see if math or the regime cap is limiting it.
When: I need a stricter or looser risk tolerance
For example: Adjust max_default_prob and see how max_ltv changes.
When: I need to know the current market regime behind the cap
For example: Read the regime field.
