Tells you which companies are new to patenting and in what technology.
Searches patent assignee organizations, entity-resolved, each with its first and last grant date, patent count, distinct CPC subclasses, and inventor count. Setting new_assignee isolates organizations with their first-ever US patent grant, an emerging or stealth signal for deal sourcing. It can be narrowed by CPC subclass, state or country, first-grant window, or a minimum patent count.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to find companies that just got their first-ever US patent
For example: Set new_assignee to true and read the organizations returned.
When: I need new patentees in a specific technology area
For example: Filter by CPC subclass to narrow the results to that technology.
When: I need to know how many patents and inventors a company has
For example: Read the patent_count and inventor_count fields for that organization.
When: I need patentees in a specific state or country
For example: Filter by state or country to narrow the search.
