It lists all available foreign-exchange symbols, along with each one's current quality state and how many sources are feeding it. It is for discovering which instruments are available before subscribing to their tick data.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to know which FX pairs are available before requesting tick data
For example: Pull the symbol list.
When: I need to know if a symbol's data is currently reliable
For example: Check its quality state.
When: I need to know how many sources back a symbol's price
For example: Check its source count.
