Gives a day, night or hourly forecast worldwide for a city name or coordinates, with US alerts where covered.
Gets a global weather forecast for a city or locality name or exact coordinates. It returns normalized day and night or hourly periods worldwide. NOAA and the National Weather Service are preferred within supported US coverage, with optional station conditions and active alerts, and MET Norway is an attributed open-data fallback globally. You POST JSON, since a GET is refused with 405.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need the forecast for a city
For example: POST the city name.
When: I need hourly weather for a coordinate
For example: POST the coordinates and ask for hourly.
When: I need active US weather alerts
For example: Use a place in US coverage.
When: I need a forecast outside the US
For example: The MET Norway fallback covers it.
