Gives you a full profile for a coin: price, market cap, supply, and official links.
Looks up a full coin profile by its CoinGecko id, such as bitcoin, ethereum, or solana. It returns market cap and rank, fully diluted valuation, 24-hour volume, all-time high and low with dates, circulating, total, and max supply, price changes over 1 hour to 1 year, categories, and official links such as homepage, X, GitHub, and subreddit. It is a richer profile than a spot price or a market-list row.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need everything about a coin in one call, not just its price
For example: Send the CoinGecko id to get market cap, supply, and official links together.
When: I need to see a coin's all-time high and low
For example: Check the all-time high and low fields, each with its date.
When: I need to see how a coin's price has changed over different periods
For example: Read the 1h, 24h, 7d, 30d, and 1y price-change fields.
When: I need a coin's official links, like its GitHub or homepage
For example: Pull the official links field instead of searching for them separately.
