Attested sanctions and export-control screening
Written by Agorean from what the endpoint says about itself
Screens a name against sanctions and export-control lists, with full match evidence and a signed attestation.
It screens a name or entity against sanctions and export-control lists: OFAC SDN and Consolidated, the UN Security Council list, UK OFSI, and EU and BIS Denied Persons, using fuzzy token matching. Matches are candidates for human review, not final determinations. Every response discloses the matching rule, the exact source files and their hashes, the match type and edit distance for each hit, and a signed, timestamped record of the query.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I need to screen a name against sanctions lists before dealing with them
For example: Send the name and read the candidate matches across OFAC, UN, UK OFSI, EU, and BIS lists.
When: I need to know how close a match is, not just that one exists
For example: Read the match type and edit distance for each hit.
When: I need proof of exactly what was checked and when
For example: Keep the signed, timestamped record and the source file hashes from the response.
When: I need a human to review a possible match before acting on it
For example: Treat a match as a candidate for adjudication, not a final determination.
