Looks up a Belgian company's registry record by enterprise number, VAT number, or name.
It looks up a company in Belgium's KBO/BCE Crossroads Bank for Enterprises. You can search by a 10-digit enterprise number, a VAT-prefixed number, or a fuzzy company name. It returns the company's name, status, address, industry, VAT number, jurisdiction, business type, registration date and number, and how many establishments it has.
WHEN TO USE THIS
When: I have a Belgian enterprise number and need the company's registry record
For example: Pass the enterprise number, like 0404.616.494, to get its record.
When: I only know a Belgian company's VAT number
For example: Pass the VAT-prefixed number, like BE0404170701, to look it up.
When: I only know the company's name, not its exact number
For example: Pass the company name for a fuzzy match against the registry.
When: I need to confirm a Belgian company is still active before dealing with it
For example: Read the status field in the returned record.
